Staying at the top of any sport requires a huge commitment in terms of personal time and effort, but it also requires money.

Lucy is no different to others in sport; to stay at the top she needs to train, have excellent support, use good facilities and participate in the right level of competition. In Lucy's case there is the added cost of the wheelchairs, which are obviously not your run of the mill item.

While there is some funding available from within tennis for Lucy and her colleagues, for the most part she has to raise the funding herself, which is achieved through sponsorship deals and donations.

Sponsoring Lucy

Sponsorship can take many forms, from direct financial support to discounts on services.

Suppliers of services have the kudos of quoting as their client the top lady wheelchair tennis player in the country and top ten player in the world.

For those who provide financial backing it might be enough to be able to say how they are helping a British tennis player achieve the highest achievments, while for others they just want to be associated with the success that Lucy enjoys.

Whatever the motivation, Lucy is always VERY grateful for the support, as without it she would not be able to achieve the high standards, which is seeing her steadily rise to the top of the world rankings.

As a sponsor you will be added here on the website and be provided with suitable marketing photos for you to use in yours business. Obviously Lucy is only too happy to be photographed with you for your own marketing purposes.

Lucy is also happy to make personal appearances to help promote your business or for other marketing reasons and to do talks/speeches on her experiences to date. Obviously the tennis calendar is a busy one, so as long as Lucy is available then she will make every effort to attend.
